No, not usually. Most pumps and filters are against the hose wall or a fence so a back is not necessary. You can however order one if you need it...see the ordering pages.
The siding is western Red Cedar boards on a treated pine frame with Australian Hardwood edgeing.
The little mites don’t like the Red Cedar, get really sick if they try the Treated pine and find the hardwood too hard. Just get your pest inspector to look at it as part of their regular termite inspection program.
